Interesting Things for the School Holidays - Many Free
Wondering what to do with the children this school holidays?

The Perth Cultural Centre has a large amount of FREE as well as low-cost activities to give the kids something to do over these July school holidays.

There will be:

Short films
Exhibitions
Creative workshops
Plus more!

Some of the things available are:

EVERYDAY FUN - SNEAKER ART
For this programme, you design your own sneaker in The Rise of Sneaker Culture activity space using AGWA's sneaker designs and coloured pencils.



The kids can get ideas from the 150 or so rare and iconic sneakers on display in the free international exhibition.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY - SNEAKER ART
The paper sneaker activity steps up a level with special arts and crafts materials provided to bring the designs to life.

Join AGWA's Education Team and invent your own zany decorated cardboard sneaker to add to their display.

ONE THOUSAND TREES - AN EXHIBITION
The award-winning Western Australian artist, Kyle Hughes-Odgers explores the art of nature as well as the nature of art in his picture book entitled One Thousand Trees.

Get your child's imagination working and have great fun reading and taking a journey through story with this Exhibition. One Thousand Trees was published by Fremantle Press in 2017.

MINI MAKERS
This is a programme involving Lego Animation!

It is a two-hour workshop where you can explore stop motion animation techniques using Lego as well as images from the State Library collection.

TINY BUG FRIENDS
In this event, you will be able to build a lifelong friendship with ordinary bugs that we see every day.
