The Winehouse Langhorne Creek

The Winehouse is a restaurant, cellar door and function centre in a picturesque part of Langhorne Creek across the bridge, flanked by the Bremer River just before nearby by icon Bleasdale Wines.
The cellar door houses a range of winning boutique Langhorne Creek labels - Ben Potts Wines, Gipsie Jack, Kimbolton, the former Wolf Blass confidente John Glaetzer's John's Blend and Heartland by Ben Glaetzer.
The view across the Function Centre and Lounge Bar is simply the colour of envy green, especially in the dry summer months when all else seems dusty and brown.
I have attended some functions there over the years, and the friendly staff and ambient setting work equally for a romantic wedding, and special birthday or a corporate training event.
The new addition to the family is Langhorne Creek's very own micro-brewery - the Meechi Brewing Company! Their small batch brews are attractive, handcrafted and proudly Langhorne Creek. You can read my article on
Langhorne Creek to discover the significance of the Meechi name.
The wines on offer epitomise the regions with the big put down for years reds of John Glaetzer, the accessible Heartland and Gipsie Jack range, and the ready soon after vintage, excellent Kimbolton range.
Kimbolton's Shiraz and Chardonnay are among my enduring favourites from the region. Add a visit to The Winehouse to your Langhorne Creek plans.
