"We can be giants, huge and domineering or tiny specks, invisible and inconsequential, all depending on our point of focus ..."
so says Rosemary Myers, the Artistic Director for the Windmill Theatre.

And hence the theme for 2015 of "Zoom" is born and forms the backbone of the program for the Theatre.

The program incorporates four major productions between February and August, followed by the world premiere of the film "Girl Asleep" at the Adelaide Film Festival during October.

Jack and the Beanstalk (28 February - 8 March)

Starting the year, at the Odeon Theatre in Norwood, and part of the 2015 Adelaide Festival, is the never-tiring production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Italian Director Chiara Guidi and her Australian creative team intend to explore the shadier side of Jack, including an astonishing trip up the beanstalk that will leave children in wonderment and laughter. Jack and the Beanstalk is scheduled for 12 sessions from 28th February.

Masquerade (20 May - 31 May)

Her Majesty's Theatre hosts 14 productions of Masquerade in late May. Masquerade is a new Australian play by award-winning playwright Kate Mulvany based on the iconic children's book by Kit Williams. Featuring rich and fantastical design, knockabout humour and a cast of exotic characters, this is a magical adventure that is all about love between a parent and a child.

Bear With Me (7 July - 19 July)

With 24 shows during the July school holidays, the production of Bear With Me is on at the Space Theatre. With songs and laughter and lots of joining in, Bear With Me is a show about looking after, and being looked after. It is a warm and fuzzy romp through the joy and turmoil of a teddy bear's everyday life. All kids are encouraged to bring along their teddy or favourite stuffed toy to join in the fun.

The Book of Loco (12 August - 22 August)

In The Book of Loco, master storyteller Alirio Zavarce proves that when it comes to insanity, there's safety and comfort in numbers. Alirio plays Loco, his own out-of-control alter ego, and in side-splitting, heartbreaking detail, chronicles his real life descent into genuine madness. From his troubled migrant past, to the breakdown of a relationship, to the agonising death of a parent, this is deeply immersive theatre at its beautiful, funny and unsettling best - a welcome change to lose yourself in somebody else's madness.

The Book Of Loco is on for 15 shows at the Space Theatre in late August.

Girl Asleep (October)

Based on the Windmill Theatre's critically acclaimed theatrical production by writer/director team Matthew Whittet and Rosemary Myers, Girl Asleep is a new independent feature film to premiere as part of the 2015 Adelaide Film Festival. Boasting powerful performances, a gripping narrative and a talented young cast, expect an eerie cinematic expedition into the bewildering brutality of adolescence.

The Windmill Theatre is renown for the creation and presentation of incredible performances that captivate audience's imagination and resonate deeply. The annual program incorporates a season of bold, live theatre for children, teens and family audiences. The Windmill Theatre regularly receives plaudits as the best children's theatre company in the country.
