William Bay Cottages are a set of seven luxury cottages located down south in a beautiful part of Denmark. Just a short walk away from the beach, and a 15 minute drive from the town centre, these cottages are close to everything, yet feel a million miles away. It's the perfect mix of seclusion and accessibility.
The stunning Robbins Nest cottage
Built from timber and stone, all of the cottages have a wonderful cosy feel to them. Each cottage is unique in its own regard, and hand built by the family who owns the cottages from local timber. You can choose from cottages with 1 bedroom, bathroom and spa, all the way up to cottages with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 spas. All options include everything you would expect from quality accommodation such as linen, kitchen equipment, gas oven, washing machine, flat screen TV and DVD player, gas BBQ and a rustic wood fire. If you want to go all out and really spoil yourself or your family, then you can even select a cottage that also includes a spa.
One of the locals, The Blue Wren
Each cottage has its own name such as Splendid Wren, Robbins Nest, Lavender Lane, and Currawong. Last Christmas, I sent my parents away for a weekend to William Bay, and they stayed in Robbins Nest, a cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
Robins Nest was the first of the cottages built, and in my opinion the most stunning. It has two stories, with the master bedroom upstairs and the second bedroom on ground level.
At William Bay Cottages, there's more than enough to keep you occupied while you visit. You can go for a private bush walk through picturesque scenery, take a dip at one of the many nearby beaches, help feed the horses and cattle or challenge your friends to a game of tennis at the tennis court. A selection of DVDs are also available upon request if you just feel like chilling out next to the warm log fire watching a movie.
If you feel like treating yourself to a relaxing weekend away at William Bay, it will only set you back a reasonable $155 for two adults, and $20 for any extra persons at the Robins Nest cottage. Prices vary for the smaller/bigger cottages, so be sure to check out the site for additional prices.
This beautiful accommodation is located just 16km from Denmark's town centre, and the trip down from Perth will expose you to some breathtaking scenery you won't see anywhere else in Western Australia. For more information just head to
