Looking for a quick and easy get away for the weekend? Enjoy camping, solitude and wildlife? How about a bit of 4wd'ing or mountain biking thrown in? has it all, only 250km north of Adelaide.

Willangi offers secluded bush camping just 13km out of historic Peterborough on a working sheep and cropping farm.

Your hosts, Antoinette and Neil Sleep, provide a choice of secluded camp sites for your group. Each camp spot is well away and out of site of other camp sites. A bush toilet is provided at each site. Whilst bush toilets can be somewhat fragrant, on Willangi they are very clean and are complete with lovely potpourri. Firewood is also provided for your stay.

During our stay we saw plenty of birdlife, including ever present wedge-tailed eagles soaring over the Grant Hills. You will also see grey and red kangaroos along with euros (the stocky looking ones also known as hill kangaroos).

A $45 fee gives you access to the property's extensive range of 4wd tracks.

Whilst not specifically set up for mountain biking, most of the 4wd tracks are rideable. Your hosts will provide you with a map of the properties tracks. During my stay, I rode an 11km circuit following easy to moderate 4wd tracks.

To arrange your stay, contact Antoinette through . You will need to pick up a property key at their office in Peterborough before making the 13km journey to the farm gate.

Campsites are $12.50 per person per night for adults and $5 for children 5-15 years. Campsites are two wheel drive accessible.
