There is something seriously cool about this place; not sure if it is the funky decor, the location, the rockabilly staff or simply that they have wonderful food in the perfect setting. Wickham Motorcycles has combined the art of great food and service with the ability of selling vintage motorbikes as well as providing maintenance and servicing to your brand new purchase.

Wickham Motorcycles offers a great selection of breakfast and lunch options and their produce is local and organic. They serve breakfast from 6:30am until 11:00am and lunch until 3:00pm. They also cater on the weekends an all day breakfast that starts at 8:00am, but you can still pick from the lunch menu from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The selection on offer for breakfast is fresh, filling and traditional such as bacon and egg rolls, homemade bake beans and fruit and muesli.

The lunch menu is delicious and satisfying, I tried out their signature dish the Wickham Burger, which had a thick, juicy beef patty, cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, tomato relish and homemade mayo on a toasted turkish bun served with a side of sweet potato fries, and I found the burger to be tasty and quite generous in size, so I was impressed that it did not fall apart or turn into an impossible mission to eat. In addition, Wickham Motorcycles serves up a fine tasting coffee, so much so they have partnered up with a local Novocastrian roaster, Stephen Frame to produce the Wickham Blend, which I can confirm that my cappuccino was a rich and smooth tasting coffee.

For something fancier Wickham Motorcycles puts on High Tea on the second Saturday of every month at 3:00pm. Wickham Motorcycles transforms into lace and fine china and becomes a sensible ladies location to share a special outing. Seats however are limited so you will need to book in advance. Cost is $40 per person.

This little gem has another ace up her sleeve, it caters for kids. Yep, towards the back of the café they have set up a little play area for the kids to play whilst mums and dads can enjoy the delicious meals and drink their coffee in peace. Whilst I was there, I happen to see a mothers group with their kids, and I thought what a great idea. They have plenty of room for prams and having the play area towards the back of the café means that they do not interrupt the serious folk out the front. Oh yes, I nearly forgot; Wickham Motorcycles is pooch friendly, with water bowls available at the front of the café. A nice little spot to try out, whilst checking out some of the vintage bikes on offer.
