Yesterday, I received my latest batch of little parcels in the mail, just as I do almost every week. Opening them, I found to my delight a number of goodies: individually wrapped hygiene wipes, Gucci Guilty perfume samples, a sachet of Palmers BB Cream, skin recovery gel and more.
Over my time sourcing freebies online I have received large bottles of body lotion, travel-sized shampoo, free dog leashes, cat collars, cat and dog biscuits, facial moisturiser, leave-in hair conditioner, sanitary products, condoms, compact mirrors, toothpaste and tissues, to name just a few.
And I received all of these product samples completely free. But how is this possible? And how can you get a steady supply of free samples too?
For those of you who have decidedly boycotted Facebook, this is just one more reason to change your mind and join! Its simple; think about the products you enjoy using, then, on Facebook, 'Like' the companies that produce them. When they offer information on new products, you will be notified online - and this includes if they are offering any free samples.
Any brand can offer free samples at any time, so it is a good idea to 'Like' a wide range of companies. A good place to start is with pet food, instant coffee, skin care, and hair product companies - as they tend to offer free samples a lot.
Individual Company websites
Signing up to individual websites is also a good way to stay informed when it comes to free samples. All you need to do is register with the sites of your choice, and if they are offering freebies or product information they will send you email notifications. Some of the most rewarding sites in this category are Nivea, U By Kotex and Palmers skincare.
Above and beyond these methods is the 'Freebies Site'. These sites are dedicated to showcasing the latest freebies all in one place so you can easily request them without having to trawl the internet. The up and coming freebies site of recent times has been PINCH me. The full size of some of the samples and the attractive points system has been the highlight of this site.
Yet, the site has been so well advertised that you need to act quickly in order to secure samples.
There are a number of other Australia-based sites out there that also bring the best freebies into one location. A favourite of mine is Buckscoop. This site is dedicated to all things free and discounted, including coupons for a wide range of stores, and the site is frequently updated. The best technique is to check this site once or twice a day, and you will be assured of not missing out on the latest samples. To increase your chances, register with other freebies sites as well. For each sample you request you will need to provide your mailing address, and occasionally answer one or two questions.
