Lights, singers, a Nativity scene, trains, inflatables, miniature village, Santa down the chimney, a portable loo for convenience; this and more, in all its splendour, can be found at 10 Cambage Court, Davidson. [BREAK]

[BREAK]

The display will be lit up daily until Saturday, 3rd January 2015, with display times as follows:

  • Friday, 12 Dec to Saturday, 27 Dec - 7:30pm to 11:00pm
  • Sunday 28 Dec to Saturday, 3 Jan - 8:00pm to 10:00pm

  • Donations can be made and all proceeds will go to 3 charities - the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, the Humpty Dumpty Foundations and SIDS and Kids. See more regarding the charities and how you can donate here . [BREAK]

Santa will be visiting to take requests for Christmas from the kids nightly, from Saturday 20 to Tuesday 23 December; the SIDS Bear will also be paying a visit between Friday 19 to Tuesday 23 December; and a community BBQ from Sunday 21 to Tuesday 23 December.

As well as all this fabulousness, there will also be carol performances by some amazingly beautiful acts. See more regarding the performers, their dates performing and times here . [BREAK]

If, after walking away from Cambage Court, you feel you've just not quite seen enough lights, then you should wind down your windows and cruise over to Borgnis Street, Davidson, which is only a 5 minute drive away. When you see the Davidson Rural Fire Brigade building all lit up on your right, with the volunteer firies out the front cooking you a sausage on the BBQ, you know you've arrived. [BREAK]

    [BREAK]

Either follow Borgnis Street slowly to the very end and then turn back; or park your car, buy yourself a sausage, or a Mr Whippy cone, and stroll up and down at your own leisurely pace.

I may not check every globe and string them up to the front of my own house, but I applaud and appreciate the people who do and not just a strand of lights but an entire visual feast of them. Thank you, Christmas light enthusiasts, for every bulb and colour. I'll be back next year too. [BREAK]
