Ever had days when you just don't feel like getting out of bed? Maybe you feel you are about a second to slow with answers! All these experiences could be linked to your biorhythms.

For some, they believe that biorhythms are nothing but a folk tale. For others, biorhythms are the blue print to each day's experience. By knowing your biorhythm you know when to push yourself physically, mentally and intellectually.

Your biorhythm is created the moment you are born. It is the cycle which is printed on you, and affects you on all of the major aspects: physically, mentally and intellectually. There are some other minor areas such as passion, mastery, awareness, etc., however the biorhythm cycle is the reason why you feel great on some days and not so great on others.

Below is a biorhythm graph of Abraham Lincoln. He was born on the 12 February 1809. This graph has peaks and troughs. The peaks indicate a high and the trough indicates a low. At the moment, if Abraham Lincoln was around, he would be feeling very energetic, pretty quick on the draw intellectually and pretty strong emotionally. You will see his emotional biorhythm is on the downward turn, so if he were to make a very important decision the best time would be in about 2 days.

Many athletes use biorhythms as part of their training. It is important to know when they are feeling strong and when they are not. Furthermore, if you know you will have a competition on a certain date, you can prepare yourself for that day. It may fall on a physical low day, which means that you would need to conserve as much energy as you can on that day, and only use it when it is needed.

There are many sites where you can determine your own biorhythms . It is a lot of fun; however I personally take this as a gauge, not as the be all and end all to everyday living. After all, we still need to get up every morning to show up for work if we feel like it or not. However, biorhythms can help you understand the type of day you have had, or about to have, thus giving you time to prepare yourself for it.
