A full moon, mesmerising fire tricks and irresistible drum beats are the ingredients for a night of family friendly fun at West End.
Each full moon, Orleigh Park (off Montague Road, West End) is transformed in to a tribal play space for performers, percussionists and their aficionados, providing a fun, safe and friendly environment for those who enjoy a good fire twirling and drumming meet.
The West End Fire Fest was established in 2005 by founding members of
Fire Tricks, an eco-sustainable community of circus performers, and has been enjoyed by thousands of patrons ever since. Fire Tricks professionals provide entertainment while members of the community are encouraged to bring percussion instruments and join the drumming circle. The Fire Fest kicks off at 7.30pm on the Friday of each full moon cycle (see the Fire Tricks website for full dates.) Participants are responsible for providing their own seating and food.
This event is open to all ages and is drug and alcohol free. So bring your family, bring your bongos and be sure to bring your dancing shoes because those drum beats are infectious.
