If you’re after for a day of fun the whole family can enjoy then be sure to mark Sunday 27th September in your diary as Glebe’s Wentworth Park comes alive for the
Wentworth Park Games.
It’s your chance to try your hand at gumboot throwing, wine glass racing and Beckham bending (just like the movie). Test your strength in the mass Pyrmont/Ultimo versus Glebe/Forest Lodge tug of war.
People from all of Sydney are welcome to join in the fun and excitement of the games. If you reside in the local area, then organises especially want to see you at Wentworth Park. The results for participants from Glebe/Forest Lodge and Pyrmont/Ultimo will tallied throughout the day and the victorious suburb will be awarded the coveted the GUP Cup – the Glebe Ultimo Pyrmont trophy.
The family pooch is not forgotten either. Dogs of all shapes and sizes are called to action in the ‘Any Other Hound Dog’ event. The lucky winner will be presented with the prestigious Wenty Park Mongrel Cup.
Ultimo P&C will be working hard on the BBQ, so drop in for sausage sanga, and at 1.30pm
TaikOz will be sure to wow the crowd with their Japanese taiko drumming demonstration.
