Dust off the rollerblades hibernating in the depths of your closet and get ready to take to the mean streets of Manhattan one skate at a time.

Spring weather means outdoor sports are back in full-swing. If you're looking to meet new people, explore the city and work on your fitness in anticipation of summer, check out Wednesday Night Skate.

Wednesday Night Skate is New York's largest independent skating organization and welcomes members old and new to join in a group skate every Wednesday night at 7:45 PM, April through October.

It's free to participate and the group attracts 40-80 inline skaters each week. Skaters head out on a two-hour, 12-mile route that begins and ends at Union Square, with a nightcap at New York City watering hole
Mumbles.

All skill levels are encouraged to participate. BYOG (Bring your own gear).
