Watsons Bay Baths
Enjoy the renovated
Watsons Bay Baths where you can laze on the decks overlooking the harbour or swim laps in one of Sydney Harbour's most beautiful spots.
The baths suit all ages, you can jump off the deck's edge, have a splash around or discover harbour marine life while snorkelling, sun bake on the pontoon, improve your lap time or relax on the deck and contemplate the magical harbour view at the Watsons Bay tidal enclosure.
The baths have been renovated to provide two sections: a swimming area measuring approximately 50m x 45m and the outer pool is 50m x 14m. There is a small beach at the eastern section if you enjoy feeling the sand between your toes.

The renovated a Teagardens cafe and Watsons Bay library is adjacent which provides shaded outdoor kiosk seating, toilets and change room facilities designed for the baths patrons.
It was reported in the
Wentworth Courier that there is a planned artwork for the baths, to be completed mid 2011: "Woollahra Council has commissioned Watsons Bay artist Clary Akon to create a public artwork that captures the unique character of the Watsons Bay Baths as a continuation of the $2 million upgrade of the historic harbour pool, which includes a new Olympic-style pool, boardwalk, better seating, improved all-ability access and a larger swimming area.
Mr Akon's design will feature a 5m underwater-themed frieze comprising silhouettes of local marine life and swimmers. The silhouettes will be laser cut from bronze sheeting and then welded together to form a single piece that will be fixed to the eastern end of the northern arm of the baths."
Enjoy, but remember to bring a hat and sun screen and beware of shallow water when diving.
