Feel like dressing up but you only have an hour or so to spare and a light wallet? Waterlife Cafe on the Gold Coast is the perfect place for you.

Simple yet tasty meals at a very reasonable price with a stylish view of million dollar yacht boats and elegant atmosphere makes this restaurant the perfect place for a sophisticated breakfast on the run, a pleasant lunch or coffee with friends.

The Waterlife Cafe is located in the Gold Coast Marina in Coomera, 25 minutes north of Surfers Paradise and 40 minutes south of Brisbane. The Gold Coast Marina is the largest marina of its kind in Australia with a fantastic abundance of yachts and boats and clear waters. Tucked away from the glitzy hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, you are guaranteed a friendly dining experience while soaking up the river views.

The staff are casual and helpful, available to answer any question you may have regarding the menu, and they take their coffee seriously.

Snacks start at five dollars and lunch meals hover about twenty.
The crab meat Caesar salad is a must for seafood lovers with the traditional Caesar ingredients, but the tender crab gives it more zest than a raw lemon.

The beef eye fillet served with potatoes is the most expensive lunch meal but the tender meat and walnut salad with sun dried tomatoes makes it a pleasure to the taste buds. Note, do not eat if on the run and on the way to a fast paced afternoon... it is very filling.

On my early morning visit, I treated myself to the 'Bruschetta Breakfast.' A huge lover of bruschetta, I didn't know what to expect taste wise, but was delightfully surprised. I ordered mine with salmon but alternatively you can choose bacon to go with your poached egg served with diced onions, tomatoes and basil. My friend was digging into her ham, tomato, onion and mushroom omelette which looked and smelt delicious.

At the Waterlife Cafe, the restaurant and bar also offers a tasty take away menu including fish and chips, fish burgers, steak sandwiches and even breakfasts starting at only four dollars.

The Waterlife staff are experts at functions so why not host your next birthday party, hens night or wedding in the picturesque marina surrounded by luxury super yachts? You can call the venue for more information and bookings on (07) 55 80 0828.

This Gold Coast secret is open 7 days a week. You can find your next weekend meal on the waterfront, Gold Coast Marina.
