Prospect Road. There is nothing quite like it in Adelaide. Wassail means "cheers' in the Irish mother tongue. The Rainbow Sessions that landed here on Thursday nights after the change in ownership at the Brecknock some years ago certainly reflect that spirit. On Thursday, BYO instrument or voice.

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and Sundays from 3pm, this is place has an authentic local "pub" feel. This is a real community hangout for the musicians and music lovers who live in and around Prospect.

Owners Judd and Trish like to give local talent a go and most of the players who perform here have connections to the community in some way or other. The music varies from the soulful jazz of the Alex Frost Duo to the 60's rockers Old Dogs Can. They serve up tasty, nourishing fair that is great value for money, so there is not need to go hungry.

The wine list is hand-picked, rather than reflecting the tastes of a wholesaler; there are some great finds and never a bad drop. Beer and Ciders are by the bottle with the usual brands available.

There is a pleasant outdoor space if you want to get a break from the music, and a functions room if you are planning an event.

Many people seem to combine a function, with live music, so in that way, the entertainment comes for free. Booking a group dinner on a Friday or Saturday night is a good way of achieving this.
