is located on the Pacific Highway, just north of Raymond Terrace. It is a very typical Australian bush scape.

There is an abundance of activities that get carried out in the area each month. One great fun activity that is carried out in the is a bush Fun Run. One of the many sites where you can find information about Fun Runs in is Australian Running Calendar .

Another exciting activity that happens on many weekends in is of course 4WD. The roads are well suited to both beginners and experienced 4WD enthusiasts. The weather, especially heavy rain can make many of the tracks only passable by 4WD's and may take a bit of skill to maneuver.

The tracks make great walking trails. Those hikers who want an easy to moderate walking trail, they can enjoy walking in . However if you just want a casual stroll, or even a good workout, Wallaroo can offer that too. One of the best spots is the William Hind Picnic Area. This is located about 500m north of the Medowie turnoff, along the Pacific Highway.

At the William Hind Picnic Area you will find picnic tables, toilets, wood BBQs and parking areas. A simple trek around Wallaroo Hill can take just an hour or so, depending on your walking speed, and takes in some great sights. If you are brave and venture to the top of Wallaroo Hill, you will have a great outlook over the State Forest.

No matter what you want to do in Wallaroo, tell someone where you're going and most of all take plenty of water and snacks.

Happy Hiking.
