There is something about visiting an art gallery that somehow makes the rest of my week much more productive. On a recent weekend trip to Hobart I was lucky enough to visit MONA; The Museum of Old and New Art, and for the whole next week my creative streak was running rampant. I was designing and envisioning new and exciting pieces with the same gusto as Van Gogh, pre-ear cut fiasco. As I looked around the drab, blank walls of my rented apartment devoid of any artwork, I began to ponder the influence of creative spaces on creativity. More importantly, how I could recreate the same feeling of inspiration I experienced at MONA in my own space without wrecking the walls, and possibly losing my bond.

I mentioned the idea to some friends to see if they had any solutions to help brighten up my creative space. Rent a studio? As a struggling artist? Not just yet. Paint the walls yourself? Too risky. Then came the suggestion of a new product that my builder friend had recently discovered while working on the sunshine coast. It promised to turn any of your walls into beautiful wall murals without damaging the original surface. Intrigued I pursued this new lead taking a trip to the sunshine coast to meet with the team at and explore their wall art solution.

uses a combination of high quality printing and vinyl wall coverings from 3M to recreate any image into an easily removable piece of wall art. Easier to install than traditional wallpaper as there is no glue required, these vinyl wall coverings take around an hour to install if you work slowly. There is limited preparation required for your wall and not only is it easier, but cheaper as well.

The hardest part of this process was picking an image to print. has access to over 15 million images thanks to an arrangement with Bigstock Photo. They also have a high quality gallery of their own, with featured local artists and photographers offering up their amazing work to be recreated on your wall at home. If your style is a little more reserved, they also have a huge collection of traditional wallpaper styles to help you make that plain wall into a feature wall.

I ended up choosing an incredible map for my lounge as I'm always inspired by planning my next trip to some unknown destination. My friend saw my wall and next week he had a surfer up on his son's wall.

So whether you are looking to turn your space into a creative hub or if you are just looking to spice up your surroundings with a splash of colour or cool pattern, can help you transform your home quickly and easily when compared with traditional wallpaper and at a fraction of the cost.
