No cause is more deserving than one that helps the wellbeing of our future. It's almost a given that we take care our vulnerable sick and premature babies and their families by joining a Walk for Prems in your state, so REGISTER for a walk near you. There's one in Canberra , Sydney , Brisbane , Cairns , Townsville , Adelaide , Hobart , Ballarat , Melbourne , Warragul and Perth . Registrations close on 18 October everywhere and 26 October 2017 in Melbourne. Every registrant gets a snazzy blue wristband in their walk pack. This year, there are orange headbands for girls, and a new toy for boys, to be announced soon. Hmm .. wonder what it could be! Check the Facebook page for further updates and other information.

The cost ranges from $7-$10 babies, $10-$20 child to $26-$42 adults, depending on which state you're in. Register individually, join a team or create a team. The website has full details on how you can fundraise for the cause, with locations and details of events in each state.

If you absolutely, truly cannot make it for the walk (and you should be there in person, because it's such a feel-good moment to be part of a generous community event), join the Virtual Walk . It's $30 adults and $25 child. Registrations close on 18 October. Registration includes 1 X T-shirt per adult, OR 1 X Life's Little Treasures Foundation T-shirt per Child/Baby entry. These will be posted prior to the event.


Bring your family, friends, and supporters to walk or run to raise funds that help Life's Little Treasures Foundation support these families in turn, by providing vital services along their journey. If you're wondering about how to create your own team with your happy, helpful supporters, you'll find a tip sheet to help you out . If you'd like to go a step further and volunteer for the day , the commitment you take on, to make a difference in the lives of others would be truly appreciated. Don't keep this feel-good moment to yourself, tell others via your social media pages like Facebook and Instagram. Set a goal and set up your own fundraising page , hold an event, get your workplace involved, and keep in mind that every $100 you raise, 10 families receive a hospital survival guide. Raise at least $600 and make the Walk for Prem Warriors list and receive a free warriors tee. With no government funding, this helps Life's Little Treasures Foundation immensely!

Make it easy and download the fundraising smartphone app . Bottom line, you can always donate to this worthy cause. All your efforts will not go unnoticed. Definitely not by the premmies or their families. You can actually win prizes ! Be the top individual fundraiser overall or by location, the top team fundraiser, and yes, there's even best dressed prizes, so be sure to front up in full regalia and make this a colourful, fun event! The fundraising pages remain open until 31 October, and any winner who does not wish to collect their prize, may choose to donate it to one of the nominated families who currently have a baby in a NICU or SCN unit.
