Event:
Show your support for premature & sick babies
Life's Little Treasures Foundation is a charity dedicated to providing support, specifically targeting families of children born premature or sick. Their services are not only available in the hospital but in the community as well, when the families come home. Founded in 2005 by parents of premmies, it was clear, providing information and having a place that understood the challenges for these families was important.

Walk for Prems 2016 on Sunday the 23rd of October 2016 - Australia wide, at locations throughout Australia, will see supporters, families and friends, walking and running to raise funds for the Foundation. This ensures that much needed vital services continue to be funded.

Make sure you register to walk the location listed in your state i.e. ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA. Click on your walk location to find out more details about what will happen on the day, including start times, parking , directions, etc.

If you can't make it on the day, another way you can help is by registering to join the 'virtual walk' team. Donations are also happily accepted.

Be a fundraising hero for the premmies, as every individual who raises at least $500 will receive a limited edition Walk for Prems Warrior t-shirt. The sooner you raise funds the sooner you receive your tee, which can be redeemed when your official fundraising total on your individual fundraising page reaches the eligible amount.

Register early as an individual (before 1 September 2016) and you could win a video baby monitor. One winner will be awarded per state. If you do not wish to collect your prize, you can choose to donate the Oricom video baby monitor to one of the nominated families who currently have a baby in a NICU or SCN.

When registering, keep in mind that if you're walking with a pram, for insurance purposes, you still need to register the baby in the pram. If you'd like to participate as a volunteer, be sure to download the application form. If you'd rather walk as a team, download a copy of the tip sheet and other tools required for this fundraiser. Follow the Walk for Prems Facebook page and Instagram account to stay up to date about door prizes, best dressed prizes, top team fundraiser prizes and all other latest news and updates.

Be loud and proud about your heroic participation and promote the event and raise awareness by posting your 'walk' pictures on social media and #WalkforPrems2016. Check out your state/location's timetable, so you don't miss out on enjoying the live events and entertainment on the day.
