I'm always drawn to photographing art-deco buildings, and the Waldorf Astoria is a gorgeous example. Now located at 301 Park Avenue in Manhattan, (the original Waldorf Astoria was in 5th Avenue on the site of the Empire State Building) it is an iconic 47-story luxury hotel that features in countless films. It was the first hotel to offer room service, as well as complete electricity and private bathrooms. It was the first hotel to create many classic culinary legends like the Waldorf Salad, Veal Oscar and Lobster Newburg.
