THE PLACE
Waldecks is a well known nursery chain throughout Perth, and they are also becoming well known for their exciting cafes that they are installing at a few of their outlets.

They mostly grow their own plants and maintain that "our new concept garden centre pursues a greener, environmentally friendly future for ourselves and generations to come".

As well as being a nursery, they have used the space very cleverly, and have a children's playground where parents can sit and have their coffee or meals, whilst watching their children play safely.

The day we went, there were several large groups who arrived shortly after we did and the cafe seemed extremely popular for around 10.00 am.

THEIR RANGE OF ACCESSORIES
Their range of pots and accessories was "second to none"!

They had a large section dedicated to all sorts of statues, indoor plants, huge pots right down to smaller ones, and many different gift ideas.

These included animals.

And a variety of other things used to decorate the house and garden.

They also do gift wrapping, and their displays are very professionally and attractively done.

[b]LAKEVIEW CAFE**
Their Cafe is called The Lakeview - this is simply because there IS a lake in the background. It is a perfect place to meet, hold meetings or just to relax, and have some breakfast, coffee or lunch.

The café is set within a tranquil garden centre setting and is surrounded by their plants and I was told there are also bandicoots that often visit the café gardens, though, on this day, we did not see any.

Their summer hours are 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, 7 days a week, and summer is August to April.

MENU
Here is a link to their full menu which is quite extensive and well priced.

I had breakfast of bacon and poached eggs served on crispy toast, and I enjoyed this immensely.

My friend had a muffin with coffee and although this is something I rarely order, she said it was moist and she enjoyed it.

I am very fussy with my coffee, and it was, as ordered, extra hot, and sometimes this just does not happen, even though I stress I want it extra hot!

The meals are presented in a professional and enticing manner, and we did not have to wait more than about 5 to 7 minutes for these.

[b]THE PLANTS**
The area actually selling plants is huge, and packed full of very healthy looking array of different types of plants, all with large signs so you can easily find your way around.

They had some plants displayed in delightful large cement pots and several of these dotted the area near the playground.

Their range is excellent and once again, their displays are done with flair!

[b]FOOTNOTE**
I almost forgot - they have some very nice looking cakes, though it was too early for me to eat any, and my brunch was too large to fit any more in!
