Filled with so much culture and history, Nepal is a trip of lifetime, where you get to experience the most beautiful surroundings and sites that we British could ever imagine.

This summer I took a trip to this beautiful place to raise money for a charity called Childreach International, where I would be climbing to Everest base camp with a number of other volunteers.

Even though I was visiting Nepal to raise money for charity, it was also a place that I had wanted to visit for a long time. I had heard such beautiful stories about this extraordinary city and I wanted to see for myself as to whether they were true or not. They definitely were.

Nepal holds some of the most diverse environments and cultures you have ever seen. What ever your ideal break away may be; Nepal will have what you need. If it's a calm and serene holiday or even a vibrant and lively break, Nepal has lots to offer.

If you fancy adventure, why not take a trip with one of the local trekking companies or involve yourself in a charitable exhibition like Childreach International'. This type of trip to Nepal will help you to experience some of the most ancient cultural traditions in the whole of the world. You will also get the chance to observe some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. Additionally, it can be a great way to get some peace and quiet in some of the freshest and unpolluted environments around and it is a great change from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life in Britain.

However if you do fancy a bit more action and are looking for a lively place to visit where you will still get all the culture of the mountains, why not visit the busy city of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a great place to come if you want to experience the Nepalese culture through lively festivals, traditional Nepalese restaurants and attractions. Furthermore, Kathmandu is a great place to go if you want to do some shopping to get traditional gifts for loved ones at home.

On the other hand, you might be looking for a place where you could get lost in the beautiful environment of Nepal as well as seeing some of its cultural sights but on a smaller and less rushed way than Kathmandu. Pokhara and Chitwan National Park are all good places to visit in Nepal if you are looking for a nice balanced between the calm Nepalese mountains and the busy city of Kathmandu. Pokhara is a beautiful lake-side city which is a perfect place to visit small traditional shops and to take a nice relaxing boat ride down the gracefully flowing rivers while taking in the scenic view of Annapurna. Chitwan National Park on the other hand is home to the endangered rhinoceroses, elephants and leopards and one of the best Bengal tiger habitats in the world. There are lots of different day trips to do in Chitwan, so you can make your day as filled and exciting as you please.

I would definitely recommend visiting the amazing city an the best thing is, its really cheap.

Why not give it a go.
