Auckland is home to a number of diverse attractions that have people flocking to its shores all year-round. One of its more underrated aspects are its gorgeous vineyards that produce some of the finest wine in New Zealand. Here are a few of its finest:

Matua Vineyard
Located just 30 minutes drive from Auckland in New Zealand's north island, this vineyard hosts tastings and themed evenings. Enjoy a day trip out to Matua and sample their decadent tasting plate in their beautiful gardens, or join them on a themed evening such as 'Pizza & Pinot' or come for high tea on Mother's Day.

Craggy Range Winery
Extend your visit to Auckland at Craggy Range Winery, where you can stay overnight or for a few days. The winery is situated in the middle of the vines at Giants Winery. The accommodation on offer is a range of one and two bedroom cottages, all with their own ensuite bathrooms, kitchens and living areas. Guests will receive a complimentary continental breakfast in their cottage and may take lunch and dinner in their cottage as well, or head down to the winery's Terroir Restaurant. During their stay, guests can enjoy some fly fishing, wine tours or simply just relax in their country escape.

Pegasus Bay Winery
Pegasus Bay Winery has a multi-award winning restaurant and winery. Each of the dishes on the restaurant menu are made with a matching wine in mind. The Pegasus Bay winery is protected from the Pacific's easterly breezes by being located in the Waipara Valley, 35 minutes drive north of Christchurch and is open for tastings seven days from 10am - 5pm, with the restaurant open from noon - 4 pm Thursdays - Mondays.
