Richard Gill and
Victorian Opera present a new production of classic pantomime Cinderella. This fascinating children's fable originally by Charles Perrault will be accompanied by original songs and music written by Richard Gill.
Staged in the spectacular
Her Majesty's Theatre this show will be a must see for children and parents alike.However, this will be no ordinary pantomime. Children, and the very young at heart, are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character, sing along with the characters and even decide the ending.
The stellar cast of artists includes director Derek Taylor, Julie Nelson designing set and costumes, Richard Vabre orchestrating the lighting and a harmonious musical accompaniment from Cinderellas Fellas in the pit.
On stage performers include Georgina Darvidis as Cinderella, Janet Todd as Prince Charming and Rodger Lemke and Julian Wilson playing the ugly sisters.The horrid stepmother will be played by Roxane Hislop.
Meanwhile the Fairy Godmother will be there in all her vagueness played by Suzanne Johnstone.Complete with magic dust and even a
quartet of zanies in true
commedia dell'arte style.
