On any day the weather permits,
Victoria Gardens in Prahran is filled with locals taking the air in its iconic surrounds. Hidden by hedges, stepping through the gates of the park immediately takes visitors a world away from bustling High Street and back into the majesty of the Victorian Era.

Victoria Gardens
The rectangular gardens are comprised of two hectares of lawns sectored by paths lined with lamp-posts, and are governed by a circle of stately London Plane trees and the Angel Statue.
Wooden benches with a view of the grounds are nestled between stone pillars in an undercover area near the fountain, and down the other end of the park is a small play area for children.

Victoria Gardens
Visitors use the gardens for a variety of purposes. It is a beautiful place to relax while the kids run around, or to take the dog for a walk. Personal trainers take clients for fitness activities and on sunny days, locals can be found lounging on the grass with their papers and their picnic baskets. The gardens also regularly hold host to
free music events including the established Opera in the Park twilight concerts organised by
Stonnington City Council.
