Eat. Drink. Enjoy. They're three little words that will greet you as you venture into the upstairs lounge area in the in Maroochydore. It's a pretty simple message and exactly what the Ave, Maroochydore&hnear=Duporth Ave, Maroochydore Queensland&gl=au&t=m&z=16 Duporth Ave establishment is all about. Those three simple words will speak volumes once you get a taste of the coffee being brewed and the food being cooked at Verve,

I stopped by for breakfast one weekend not too long ago for the first time since moving to the Sunshine Coast. I've walked by it so often and seen it busy with businessmen and couples quite obviously on holiday. Finally, it was my turn to see what all the fuss was about.

They had a good selection here, with light and healthy options such as bircher muesli ($10.90) and fresh avocado and sliced tomato on toasted Turkish bread ($10.90). They also had the classics - eggs on toast ($8.90), the Big Brekky ($17.50) and the french toast ($11.90).

I wasn't my usual ravenous self this particular morning so I went with Verve's not-so-big brekky ($13.90) - just one of each item from the big brekky - eggs with bacon, chipolatas, hash brown, mushrooms and roasted tomato served on Turkish toast. My meal was great - that first mouthful made me wishing I had opted for the actual big brekky. It was delicious and filling. The presentation of the food, something I've never really taken much care of, really stood out here. It's the little things that matter. I only had to look at my companion's breakfast choice - the vegetarian brekky ($14.90) to reaffirm my view.

Verve as a venue is a great place to hang out for a quick breakfast, an extended lunch or just to enjoy a cup of coffee. There were several seats and tables outside in the shade with more room upstairs. They had a couple of comfy lounges mixed in with the usual tables and chairs. The windows didn't offer much of a view unfortunately but it did feel quite relaxing eating breakfast up and off street level. It's no wonder they get hired out so often for private functions - they've just got the perfect setting for it.

Maroochydore is a great place for tourist activity and business. Verve has something that appeals to everyone - the tourists will want to stop by and enjoy a breakfast, while those conducting business will find a nice, quiet place to chat as they sip on coffee.
