are a beautiful spot in the Southern Parklands to step away from the city. The sweeping gardens are filled with places you can escape to and find your own little oasis.



There is plenty of lush green grass in the garden that is perfect for picnicking on. You can find large shady trees to sit under, or picnic tables if you're missing a blanket. The gardens are large, and so there is plenty of space to find your own spot to picnic in. While there is plenty of grass you wouldn't want to play ball games here, because the grass is kept in prime condition.

Nice touches all over the gardens that make this a worthwhile place to visit. There are miniature waterfalls that make fabulous picnic spots, and flowers that brightly decorate the space. The waterway that runs through the park adds a nice feature so that you can pretend your picnicking by the riverside. Be careful when crossing this creek, because after wet weather it can get quite slippery and crossing can be a little dangerous. Dirt paths can also get a bit muddy after rain.





Check out the greenhouse to see some unique plants, or take to the bike paths and explore the gardens on wheels. You can wander the paths and get lost in your thoughts as you take in the beautiful scenery. Another nice touch of the gardens are the rose gardens, with an impressive fountain in the centre.





There are no barbecue or playground facilities at the gardens, but if you're looking for them then you'll find them after a stroll down South Terrace. You will find toilet facilities at the park. are a beautiful place to stroll through and explore and well worth a visit when you're in the south of the CBD.
