Brewery Showpiece Arrives from New York

2 Brothers Brewery
Don't drive past it

From Times Square, New York, the 2 Brothers Brewery has arrived in suburban Moorabbin. Tucked away in a quiet industrial estate, from the outside you could so easily miss it.

Copper Clad brewing System
Unusual & Interesting

When a physio from the Bronx and a Seattle engineer combine their brotherly brewing talents, the result is dynamic. Dave and Andrew delight in explaining their showpiece copper clad brewing system to beer lovers and interested parties alike and tours are available by arrangement.

Cosy Bar Hall
Watching them brew

The bar and beer hall were built around the brewery floor. Add pool tables and sofas and you can watch the brewers (and give your totally unnecessary advice) while enjoying your locally made brew, backed up with wood-fired pizza and some great music. In recent times, artists such as Ben Ford-Davis, Simon Phillips and Luke O'Connor have provided the music on Thursday and Friday nights.

Patrons can enjoy their beer straight from tank to glass, or attempt to get hold of 2 Brothers best Scotch Ale /English Barley Wine, The Guvnor, one of several awarded champions, holding the title of 2011 Best Victorian Beer at the Australian International Beer Awards while it's fellow champion, Voodoo Porter collected the Premier's Trophy for Best Victorian Beer together with a gold medal in 2010. Perhaps the funky James Brown, a strong, Belgian ale is more to your taste.

A Beer Oasis
A 5 Course Meal perhaps

For the true beer connoisseurs out there, you can also experience the German style pilsner Taxi Pilsner, an American brown ale called 2 Brothers Growler, and the Belgian variation of a pale ale, the 2 Brothers Rusty. Not a beer drinker? Try the Gypsy Cider made from pears with among other things, a hint of vanilla. If you enjoy the brew so much that you don't want to leave the brewery and go home, 2 Brothers Grizz, the deep red American style amber is available in bottled form as is the copper coloured rich German style 2 Brothers Chief, ideal for Autumnal weather.

So whatever your taste or lifestyle, or how deep your pockets are, there is something here for everyone. The Beer Hall is open on Thursdays from 4pm-10pm & Fridays from midday until late, so pop along to 4 Joyner Street, Moorabbin and experience this beer oasis for yourself.
