Event: -
'Bread For Good' - the name is odd but this nationwide campaign, running from 16-23 September is a worthy one.

Patrons are given the opportunity to donate $2.00 or more when they order bread in a restaurant. The project aims to raise money and awareness to help children impacted by the East African food crisis.

Almost 12.4 million people, more than half the Australian population, are affected by the devastating crisis, including over 2 million children. This brings the situation right in front of Australians - on their dinner tables in fact.

For every $2.00 that restaurants collect, UNICEF can provide therapeutic food to keep a child alive for a day.

So far, the top contributors are:
La Petanque $200.00 AUD
Boathouse $162.00 AUD
Malabar $150.00 AUD
Hungry $100.00 AUD
Fiasco $100.00 AUD

Get into your favourite of the participating restaurants in the next few days and support a great cause.

A list of restaurants can be found here and give your spare dough to help those in need.
