Unf*ck Your Habitat – Book Review
Unf*ck Your Habitat is a no-nonsense book about cleaning your house by blogger Rachel Hoffman.
She explains the problem with marathon cleaning sessions (what most of us are all guilty of doing before inviting guests around) and swapping them for 20/10s. This is twenty minutes of cleaning followed by a ten-minute break.
The book is divided into five sections getting started, your own habitat, troubleshooting (dealing with other people), special cases like moving, digital space, school and work related and lastly a conclusion with handy checklists.
There are mini challenges scattered throughout the book, for example, 'Look around. Find ten things that aren't where they belong and put them away." I tried this one and cleared off the kitchen bench and then the dining room table with no trouble.
The book is designed to encourage you embrace a new lifestyle where the advice is realistic and full of common sense.
Unf*ck Your Habitat will motivate you to get up and start cleaning in manageable chunks.
Unf*ck Your Habitat is available in paperback and ebook from your favourite bookseller.
