Every now and then, I'll come across a product that is so versatile, I can't help but rave about it. My new product du jour is not only a natural solution for beauty and health problems, it's a staple I can easily find in my kitchen. Here are a few ways to utilise coconut oil:

1. Haircare
As oil and water do not mix, coconut oil is amazing for repelling moisture and preventing frizzy hair. To use, simply heat half a teaspoon of coconut oil in your palms, and then apply to hair evenly. Comb oil through hair, and then tie back in a bun, leaving the oil in for at least one hour. Wash out with shampoo, and then flaunt that soft, silky hair!

2. Face
As coconut oil is full of antibacterial matter, it is ideal for removing makeup and unclogging pores. Simply dab a little oil onto a cotton bud, and clean away. Don't forget to wash your face afterwards though!

3. Cuticles
Not only is coconut oil antibacterial, but it is anti-fungal as well. Dabbing a little oil on your cuticles will not only make them stronger, but will keep them looking soft and pretty.

4. Health
Swapping fatty vegetable oils for coconut oil will cut out a significant amount of fats and other harmful products from your plate. To use, just have the coconut oil in place of your normal oil.

5. Pregnancy
It's said by many that rubbing coconut oil on the skin can help prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Now, having never been pregnant myself, I can't swear to this, but why not give it a try? As coconut oil is a natural product, it will not harm your skin.

These are just a few uses for what I affectionately call 'nature's little miracle'. Stay tuned for more!
