At the end of the year Georgia together with 12 of her classmates will be involved in the '2H Project'. A team of students and staff from Trinity College have committed to going on a mission trip to Cambodia. The purpose of the trip is for the students to experience the culture and history of Cambodia and be involved in hands on development, teaching and spending time with the local people.

The '2H Mission' involves students identifying candidates that require eye surgery, observing the surgery and supporting those in recovery, working on local farms to help the community with their local harvest and teaching in schools that were previously built by the 2H Project.

Students are required to provide cash donations to help pregnant women, health care and to improve the quality of life for those less fortunate. Trinity have been able to provide a barn, farming land, toilet and shower facilities, uniforms, clothing and medicines.

The first mission trip that was in 2013 saw students visit a rural school to provide uniforms and reading books and a hostel for girls, where they donated 12 laptop computers.

There is a lot of planning, preparation and fundraising that goes into this trip and each student has committed to raising $1000 as a gift to the project.

This Sunday, July 27th there will be a fundraising event held at 'Playford Pirates Baseball Club' from 11am-4pm to help student Georgia reach her fundraising goal. There will be 10 stalls where each consultant is donating a percentage of their sales to the cause.

The businesses taking part in the event include: Tupperware, Cassie's Candle Heaven, Arbonne Cosmetics, Norwex Au, Clutter Bug Closet, Chocolates for Chocoholics, Tams Nutrimetics, Envy Jewellery with Natalie and LeReve Rendezous by Traceyanne.

There will be a silent auction, raffle tickets and lucky squares for the adults and lucky dips, face painting and a jumping castle for the kids.

Offering free entry and a welcome bag to the first 50 ladies through the door and lots to keep the kids entertained, come down to Georgia's fundraising event this Sunday.

Anyone looking to donate can contact (08) 8522 0666 and ask to make a donation to the 'Cambodia Fundraising Account'.
