Tregenza Oval has got some great space for playing some sport, and also a fun playground for the kids. On the weekend watch this space bustle with rugby games, or head here on a week day for some quieter fun.
The oval is used by the Old Collegians Rugby Club for training and games. The oval is set up with goal posts has has a huge field to run around on. Whether you want to play rugby, footy, or soccer, you can use this space for them all. You will need to make sure that you're not interfering with any training or games that are taking place at the time. If you do want to get in on the action you could even consider joining the club. This means that as well as having loads of fun playing you'll also get to take advantage of the oval's pub.
Younger kids will love the playground at Tregenza Oval, it is fenced in, and far enough away from the oval so you don't need to worry about any stray balls flying in. This is a playground suitable for young ones. There are toddler swings and a small slide. Kids can also run around on the pine bark without you having to try and keep them away from any rugby games.
There are benches in the park, and plenty of space to run around, but the oval gets pretty kicked up due to the rugby so there aren't too many places suitable for having a picnic. This space is mainly good if you're wanting to get in some sport practice. If you're not interested in joining the club but would like to watch a game, then head down on a Saturday to see the boys play.
