Have you got an adventurous streak? Love swinging through the trees? The
is for you…and even your kids.
The adventure park, located in the
Western Sydney Parklands , is a big obstacle course with a difference - it's set up in the treetops. You'll be between 10 to 20 metres off the ground clinging onto wire, logs, ropes or flying down a zipline.
There are courses of varying levels to allow kids as young as three to participate. Thrill-seeking adults are also well catered for on the black course. The black course is physically challenging but very rewarding, particularly the extra long zip line at the end. Be sure to savour the thrill of flying down the last zip line. A word of advice, pay the extra $2 for the gloves. My hands were left feeling rather raw after the 3 hours spent gripping onto wire.
Throughout the course you're hooked up to a foolproof harness system that can't fail even if you try. It was surprisingly reassuring, especially on several occasions when adrenalin got the better of me and I almost unclipped myself entirely from the safety wire. Thankfully the clicker system was designed to stop this.
It was an incredibly rewarding experience, particularly if you're doing it as a group. There's nothing like hearing the cheers from your family and friends as you come tearing down the zipline at the end of the final course.
Be sure to book as places fill up fast on the weekend. They've also got adventure parks on the Central Coast and in Newcastle.
Costs:
Children (3 to 9 years) - $25
Juniors (10 to 17 years) - $35
Adults (18 years and over) - $45
