Town of Cambridge - Summer of Fun 2014/2015

The Summer of Fun 2014/2015 season is crammed full of free activities and events that the whole family will enjoy. This series of popular events will run during the warmer summer months, between November 2014 and April 2015.



Proudly organised by the Town of Cambridge , this popular series of events really does have something for everyone, and includes an assortment of exciting community events and activities, live music, Street Festivals, Library activities, Youth events, Seniors events, on-going programs, and much, much more.

Whats On.

One of the most popular events is the annual Xmas at Lake Monger Festival. The festival will be held on Thursday 18th December, 2014, at the Lake Monger Reserve in Wembley. There will be plenty of free activities, entertainment, live music, children's entertainment, carnival rides, Christmas Carols and much more. Bring along a picnic or try some of the delicious food available from the mini Hawkers Market stalls.

Celebrate Australia Day at the Australia Day Festival and Citizenship Ceremony. This event will be held on Monday 26th January, 2015, between 8:30am and 12:30pm, at the Perry Lakes Reserve in Floreat, and offers loads of entertainment and a delicious free breakfast.

Enjoy a little Music in the Park, with these free live music concerts. Shows will be held on Sunday 8th February 2015, at the Floreat Beach Foreshore, in Floreat, and on Sunday 22nd February, 2015, at Rutter Park, in Wembley.

Celebrate twenty years of Cambridge at the 20th Anniversary Street Festival. The whole community will get involved to mark this historical milestone. offering a range of entertainment, activites, pop-up stalls, food and fun for the whole family. The date for this fantastic event is still to be announced, so keep checking the website for updates.

The Merge Sandcastle Building Competition, will be held on Saturday 14th March, 2015, on the City Beach Foreshore in City Beach. Watch young architects and engineers compete to build the best sand sculpture, or enter the fun family section and build your own.

The annual Exposure Youth Festival, will be held on Sunday 29th March, 2015, at the Perry Lakes Reserve, in Floreat. A great place to hear all the new up-and-coming bands, musicians and performers, plus there will be loads of fun games, skate-park events, urban art and pop-up stalls.

The annual Anzac Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the West Leederville Cenotaph, on Saturday, 25th April, 2015, from 8am until 11am. Come along and pay your respects, honour and remember our fallen heroes.

Get behind the mic and show your hidden talent at Open Mic Night. Open Mic Nights @ No. 86, will be held on selected Friday evenings, from 5pm till 9pm, between November 2014 and April 2015, at the No. 86 Youth Centre.

Check out the Cambridge Library. They offer an assortment of free, fun activities and on-going programs, including school holiday programs, for children and families.

Over at the No. 86 Youth Centre, young people will find a variety of fun, organised activities and entertainment, including school holiday programs, outings, a chill out space, a Christmas Party, and more.
