Directly opposite Richmond Town Hall, on Bridge Rd, is the Restaurant and Bar. This large, comfortable venue somehow contrives to be cosy, despite its size. Perhaps it's the friendly welcome staff give you on arrival, the toasty warm fire (which burns day and night in the colder months), or the comfy couches.

With a tasty menu for brunch, lunch or dinner, this is a solid venue to visit regardless of the time of day. There's nothing too outstanding, nothing too exciting, nothing that will knock your socks off. But within this simplicity lies their success. Whatever your order, you can expect straightforward food, done well, reasonably priced and served with a smile.

Accompany your meal with a Genovese coffee, a beer (there are five different beers and ciders on tap), or a glass of wine from their solid selection.

Evenings promise entertainment in the form of trivia, live music and a range of cheap dinner deals (these vary from night to night).

All in all, a great place to visit if you want to spend some time hanging out and chatting with friends.
