Beach and rain equals fun
You checked the weather forecast. You picked that time of the year when the chances of rain are the slightest. But it happened. Despite your planning efforts and your precautions, the weather played a trick on you. You get up in the morning, want to get ready for another day at the beach, but when you look out of the window, your plans seem ridiculous as threatening black clouds cover the sky up to the horizon. So, what is there to do in such a case? Your vacation has just begun; you cannot pack your suitcases and go home.

1. Take a bus or cab tour
People generally choose seaside resorts because of the wide range of beach activities the latter offer. However, many of these resorts are located in the close proximity of other tourist attractions. Check with your hotel's reception desk or get some information online on the bus or cab tours you can take in the respective area. This way you won't be wasting your time lingering in your hotel room and complaining about the weather that spoiled your holiday plans.

2. Visit a museum
A tour of a local museum is another thing you can do on a rainy day. Although you cannot lie in the sun or practice your favourite water sports, you will still be doing something fun and interesting.
3. Go to the cinema
You don't have to be a movie buff to enjoy watching a good film while on holiday. Most holiday resorts are equipped with modern entertainment centres within which you will certainly find a few cinema halls. Check what's on for the day and make your pick. The only thing that matters is not to let anyone and anything (not even the rain) spoil your holiday.
4. Do some shopping
You were planning to check the local shopping mall and buy some souvenirs anyway, right? So, why wouldn't you take this off your shoulders and finish with your holiday shopping now. Tomorrow, when the sun will shine brightly again, you can enjoy the sea and the beach without any worry.
5. Hit the gym
If you all you have been doing the previous days was to lie down on the sand and enjoy the sun, it's time for some physical exercise. You don't want to be totally out of shape when you get back from your holiday, right?
6. Have a spa day
What can be more relaxing than a day at the spa? After all, you are on holiday and you were planning to take it easy and get some rest. A good option would the hotel's spa and wellness centre as this way once you finish your sauna or massage, you can go straight to your room.

7. Play paintball
Paintball is a fun activity you can try while on holiday, especially if you are travelling with a group of friends. If you don't like getting dirty or cannot find an indoors paintball venue, try laser tag.

8. Catch up with friends
Most resorts have wi-fi connections. If you didn't bring your laptop with you (and you probably didn't since you were planning to spend your days on the beach), ask if they also have a computer room or check the local entertainment enter. It's true that you went on holiday to have some time away from the computer's screen, but think of it as a socialising activity. You are on vacation, so stay away from your work email.
9. Play bowling
Bowling courts are another regular centres within many entertainment enters. Rent one and have fun with your friends or family.

10. Have a romantic day indoors
Did you bring some candles with you? If not, hit the nearest shopping centre, order some champagne, put on some romantic tunes... The rest is up to the two of you.
Well, I hope that you find these ideas inspiring and that if such a terrible thing as a rainy day would try to spoil your beach vacation, you will manage to turn it into an opportunity to have fun and relax.
