These attractions are not presented in any particular order, and they are simply designed to give you (as a parent, a nanny or a child minder/babysitter) an easy reference guide to the best attractions and places to take children out to for an enjoyable day out for all.
Visits and days out to some of these attractions are at a cost, some are free of charge and others are on a pay per use basis.
Manly is a child friendly destination. The ferry ride is the most enjoyable way to get there. For some ideas on what to do in Manly,

To help children appreciate space and science, visit the
Sydney Observatory at the Rocks. Otherwise you can't go wrong with
Darling Harbour . My nieces loved seeing Alice in Wonderland in 3D at the
IMAX theatre , and of course there is the new
Darling Park and the
Sydney Aquarium nearby.
For something that a child might just say wow to, take them to
Sydney Tower (formerly Centrepoint Tower) where views of inner and greater Sydney are to be enjoyed. Children also like visiting the many museums in Sydney, for example
Powerhouse Museum , the
Australian Museum and the
Justice and Police Museum .
Otherwise a ferry ride underneath the
Sydney Harbour Bridge , heading towards
Luna Park is a great treat. If the children in your care prefer to see animals,
Targoona Zoo is the best animal hot spot in Sydney.
Otherwise any of Sydney's top quality parks such as the Constellation at King George Park will keep children entertained with swings and a sand pit nearby, or even a picnic or walk around Centennial Park and even the Royal Botanical Gardens are also great alternatives.
