This March Melbourne is putting up a show with both free and ticketed festivals for all ages!

Check out the list below and jot in those dates in your diary for a fun filled Month of entertainment.

1. Holi Fest 2015
When: 7 March 2015: 11am-9pm
Where: Werribee Racecourse, 2-10 Bulban Rd, Werribee
Cost: Tickets $5pp
Details: Witness Melbourne's biggest Holi Festival that includes music, dance and colours. With massive dance areas, multi-ethnic cuisine food court and plenty of entertainment, this is one for the whole family to enjoy! Do not forget to bring your picnic rugs. Click here for website.

2. Melbourne's Women's Expo
When: 13-15 March 2015: 10am-5pm
Where: Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens Tennis Club, Nicholson St, Melbourne
Cost: Tickets start from $10pp
Details: This festival is a celebration of women of all ages. It is an opportunity to relax and explore what is new whilst enjoying a day off! There will be plenty of entertainment including a fashion parade for real women, presentations and speakers, massages, cooking class & cooking demos, fitness class, health & wellness, free workshops and plenty more. 3. Fromage a Trois- Cheese & Cider Festival
When: 15 March 2015: 11am-5pm
Where: Werribee Park Mansion, Gate 2, K Rd, Melbourne
Cost: Tickets $35pp
Details: Discover a whole new gastronomic experience with this festival! The festival is bringing together Australian specialist cheesemakers & artisan cider markers. There will be music, local and regional produce, cheese and cider making classes, presentations, masterclasses, entertainment and plenty more. See website for all information.

4. Moomba Festival
When: 6-9 March 2015: 11am-9:30pm
Where: Alexandra Gardens & Birranung Marr, Melbourne
Cost: Free
Details: Translating to "Let's get together and have fun", this festival has become an extremely important cultural festival for Melbourne. The festival includes carnival activities, parades, water sports along the river, live entertainment, fireworks and plenty more.

5. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival
When: 25 March 2015- 19 April 2015:
Where: 240 Exhibition St, Melbourne (above Comedy Theatre)

Details: Celebrating its 29th year in 2015 and being one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, this is one not to miss! This annual event consists of an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts. click here for website.

6. The Basin Music Festival
When: 20-22 March 2015:
Where: Mountain Highway & Forest Road, The Basin
Cost: Free
Details: This community fun festival runs over three days with over 7 stages playing different styles of music. It is an annual non-profit community-based music festival. There will be market stalls and plenty of live entertainment.



7. Brunswick Music Festival
When: 1-15 March 2015: from 10am
Where: Victoria Hotel, 380 Victoria St, Brunswick
Cost: Free
Details: This is Melbourne's biggest multicultural gathering with attendance from over 60,000 people! This festival is for all ages and celebrates the vibrant neighbourhood of Brunswick. The program consists of international folk, roots and world music.

8. Seddon Festival
When: 7 March 2015: 11am-6pm
Where: Seddon Village, Victoria & Charles Streets, Melbourne
Cost: Free
Details: The festival includes a day of music, fun and celebration. The event will be roaming with entertainers, street theatre, food and market stalls, animal farm, dog show, kids activities and entertainment, and much more.



9. Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival
When: 8 March 2015: from 10am
Where: Federation Square, Russell St Extension, Federation Square Melbourne
Cost: Free
Details: This family-friendly event brings a vibrant taste of Japan to Melbourne with spectacular cultural demonstrations, jam-pack all things Japanese, food and beverage delights, family-friendly activities, origami classes, the 'Bon' dance, songs, music, martial arts demonstrations, dance performances, raffle draw with prizes and plenty more.

10. Thai Culture and Food Festival
When: 14-15 March 2015: 10am-5pm
Where: Federation Square, 2 Swanston St, Melbourne
Cost: Free
Details: This festival is everything about Thai and showcases this rich and historical culture. The festival will run with two days of fun filled with sights, tastes and sounds of Thailand! Street foods, Thai BBQ, Thai massages, Thai products, live music, and activities are just some of the highlights of the festival.

11. Water to Water Festival
When: 21 March 2015
Where: Briars Historic Park, 450 Nepean Hwy, Mount Martha
Cost: Free
Details: The festival is a non-profit endeavour designed to promote cross-cultural awareness bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together in a vibrant, family friendly outdoor event that is filled with Indigenous music, art, dance and culture. There will also be local traditional and contemporary dancers, children activities and more.
