With the mercury rising, the temperature is a hot topic. These weather apps (for iPhones) are a great way to keep track of the celsius, know the UV and get you beach ready. And best of all, they're free.



Sun Smart - This clever app by the Cancer Council Victoria is full of need-to-know information. It reveals the day's weather (high and low), plus UV and at which times you need sun protection. It also let's you set a sunscreen reminder (when to apply/reapply) and UV alerts, plus you can calculate how much vitamin D you need.

Good for: Those concerned about the UV and sun protection.

Swackett - A funky illustrated weather app, it shows the current temp (and what it will feel like), day's high and the expected night-time temp too, plus the next day. Good for: Those wanting the basic weather details delivered in a different and funky kind of way.
