You can drop in at this lively warehouse turned café/bar for a chilled beer, burgers and live music that keeps everyone jamming.

These guys were voted by the Sydney Herald as having the 2nd best burger in Sydney. Whether you try their Polenta bites or American-style burgers, the great food, friendly service and funky ambience and live music will definitely keep you coming back for more.



Kitchen by Mike
From the outside it an industrial warehouse, from the inside, a hopping, funky bistro. Where else can you get a roast suckling pig with made to order sides!

The fun thing is, you can find their menu posted everyday on their Facebook page! No need spend an hour sitting at the table deciding between that awesome pulled pork Panini or a mouth-watering harissa! Just look it up on FB and make your choice before you go, get a table and voila, you are ready to order! Of course with all the lovely smells wafting in from the kitchen, I can't guarantee you won't change your mind and order something else!

Kepos Street Kitchen
There is always a wait time at Kepo's and why not, when they serve delicious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine that will sate the most gourmet palate.

The food is generously influenced by memories of the chef & owner who spent a part of his childhood in Tel Aviv. Try their flavourful Falafel or southern Fried Chicken sandwich and you won't be sorry!



Grounds of Alexandria
The delicious aroma of fresh roasted coffee greets you when you walk into this 19th Century pie factory turned café, roastery and entertainment ground.

Take a cup of their best Brazilian or Ethiopian blend out into their garden seat and watch the kids play with animals wandering around or stroll over to the wishing fountain, check out the grocer, cheese stall or even the florist

Or you could sit down to a sumptuous Breakfast Board of poached eggs, double smoked ham and tomatoes, or a nice family lunch of handmade Pappardelle or even a Steak Sandwich. A lot of the patrons in the café are a fan of their freshly baked sourdough bread.



No 12 Trading
The new coffee shop on the block is a rare combination of café and vintage shop. No 12 offers you a choice of pastries, cakes and light meals like a fig and raisin sourdough with ricotta and centennial honey with a delicious cup of coffee which you can enjoy along with Skye's (the owner) own art work. Oh and when you visit, don't forget to say hi to Cloe and Robin. These guys can help you unearth some real treasures in the shop.



Gertrude & Petunia
A classy look and elegant French style furnishings define the décor of Gertude & Petunias which is further accentuated by its delicate crockery and traditional menu.

It looks like a cosy little teahouse out of a classic English or French novel. If you can stop cooing over the dainty white, blue and gold crockery and the beautiful guided mirrors on the papered walls, then do try out their generous portions of delicious, home-style Layered Granola or the French toast with strawberries, ricotta and honey with a cup of Campos coffee.

A smile served with a hot cup of Campos coffee and crunchy bagels - this coffee shop is a popular among folks dropping in for their daily coffee fix.

The free wifi is an added bonus making it a popular haunt for meetings and chit chats over a quick coffee. Come here if you want to relax, unwind and enjoy a nice steaming cuppa. Stay at home mums families and people from office taking a quick break give this place its warm, comfy atmosphere.

David Cowdrill's spin-off restaurant (Pizza Mario), Da Mario is famous among the locals for its traditional Salamino pizza or pizza Margeherita 'extra'. Ask any 'Pizza Mario' fan if you don't believe us!

A lovely brick building with a good sized seating capacity inside and a cute outdoor arrangement, this place looks warm and inviting and best of all, it smells heavenly. They do offer tasty seasonal breakfast and lunch dishes, but it's the freshly roasted coffee that pulls crowds from far and near. So if you are 'coffee mad' then this is the right place for you!

The Sweet Spot Patisserie
This 'sweet' hangout is fast gaining popularity for it lovely assortment of cakes, desserts, pies and smooth coffee.
Already an established place on Perouse Rd, Randwick, these guys are famous for their Chocolate Panacotta, which is a must-have if you have not tried it already, Tiramisu, Ice-cream Cake, Banoffe, variety of Cheesecakes, Macaroons, Beef Pie and of course, their coffee.



Grandmas Little Bakery
Yes, it has a pretty, quaint name, which probably comes from its home-style cooking concept, but this is a pretty trendy place where the orders are made through iPad.

This is where you come when you crave tasty, wholesome home-cooked style food like Shakshuka, stuffed capsicum, Bolognese sausage rolls and different kind pastries and desserts like orange cake, creamy cheese/chocolate mousse etc.



Chalkboard Café
This is a great place to relax and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, lively ambience and a nice cup of hot coffee.

Located within the PYD design center, this café is always bustling with folks looking to snatch a quick moment of relaxation by indulging in a delicious cup of coffee. Since the café also offers breakfast and lunch along with sandwiches and snack treats, a lot of the locals drop by for a filling breakfast of Chalkboard Benedict, The Breakfast Tasting Plate or the Waterloo Breakfast or a delicious lunch of Smoked Salmon or perhaps and Open Fillet Steak sandwich or even B.R.A.T (figure it out!).

Now also located in East Village, this bakery is famous for its delicious artisan breads, fresh pastries and café meals as well as its signature coffee blend.

If it's gourmet Italian cuisine you are craving then Taormina will tickle your taste buds with authentic Italian pizza and other house specialties.

We found out from the people that this place is a popular breakfast joint that serves great coffee with good, wholesome breakfast dishes made with fresh produce. Try their Site Brekky with mushrooms and avocado or house specialties like Eggs Benedict with bacon, house made Muesli & Rose Yoghurt or go on a weekend and you can get a breakfast to order. These guys also dish up and sell their own condiments and dressings.



Thai Doytao Express
This family-owned restaurant, with its own special look and feel, is always bustling with local crowds coming in for a spot of their favorite Thai food.

While there is no fancy décor but no lack of seating either, a lot of people working in the area come here every day to enjoy authentic Thai dishes like Hot Pattaya, Masman, Laksa, etc and that is why, even with an outdoor seating arrangement, there is always a line.



The Rocks Brewery Bar
This is the joint you want to hit when you're craving cold beer and comfort food made with a generous dose of history and TLC.

These guys have a unique history. Take a large pint of their traditional ale and hunker down for a good 'ol tale of blood and toil by early settlers and convicts in a land of dreams. Oh and remember to ask for their special house-smoked beef brisket, slow-roasted pulled pork and hot wings.
