Situated about 1.5hrs drive from the heart of Perth, the very pretty, historic town of Toodyay is about to saddle up for its annual Picnic Race Day on Sunday 28 September. Pack up the kids, grab your friends, pack a picnic and head to one the towns most loved events. If you would rather sample the delights from the local community, there will be a variety of food vendors set up on the day. The event is fully licensed and strictly no BYO.

This year the Beaumonde Fashions of the Field will be complemented by the introduction of the 'Toodyay Picnic Race Day Pamper Tent' so you can ensure you are remaining race ready throughout the day with complimentary hair and make-up touch-ups offered free of charge.

Tim Gossage, Channel 10 sports presenter, will be hosting the event and will be calling the 'Dash for Cash' running race (only open to amateur football team members, registration must take place prior to the day, see the website for more detail)

Transport packages are also available – including return trip from Belmont Racecourse to Toodyay Racecourse, entry to the venue, racebook, country sandwiches and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on arrival. Cost is $55 and can be purchased through Moshtix

Never been there before? Toodyay is one of the oldest inland towns in Western Australia. Due to the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990, the town is beautifully preserved as a testament to a bygone era and a lovely weekend destination all year round.

The gates open at 10am with races commencing from 12noon. Gates close at 9pm. Admission is $20 for adults (ID is required)
Under 18 free but must be accompanied by a legal guardian
