Exercise your brain, and have some fun at the same time, by joining in on the
Tonsley Hotel weekly Trivia Night. Join a host of regular teams who all battle, in good-natured competition, for the top spot.
The Tonsley Hotel is located on South Road and is good pub to grab a drink or something to eat. Every Wednesday night the hotel is host to a Trivia Night, where teams spend six rounds answering questions on a whole range of topics. The winning team comes away with a whole range of prizes like food vouchers, or alcohol.
The Trivia Night is hosted by Mick and Mandy; with Mick running the show and Mandy as the lovely host. They're great at including all teams in the night, from the regulars to the newbies. You can make up a team name, and play with anywhere from two to ten members on your table. Call up before hand to book your table.
The quiz night is split into six rounds. These range from picture rounds, music rounds, sport, general knowledge, and geography, among other topics. In between rounds play games like heads and tails, or beer or no beer. Beer or no beer is played under the same premise as Deal or No Deal but you win an amount of beer. Each week one team will also get the chance to participate in ten out of ten. In this special round one team must answer ten questions correctly to win a cash prize, if they get one wrong then the amount to win goes up the next week.
It is free to take part in the quiz night, so you'll only have to pay for any drinks or food you want. Sometimes things such as raffle tickets are on sale.
