Tucked in behind Beaudesert and Hamilton Roads is a hidden treat - a lovely large park. Named, predictably enough, Tonks Street Park it is interesting for 2 reasons. Firstly it is dedicated to a local Yuggera man, Boowangun who promoted indigenous culture, knowledge and language.

Secondly it has a really cool double swinging chair. Check this out. I'll bet you are just dying to try it out. I was.

There is a covered area with barbeques and picnic tables and plenty of bench seating if you would rather sit and soak up the sun.

There is also the usual shaded playground with swings and a slide.

It is a large park with concrete paths suitable for bicycles, tricycles, roller blades and so on. At the back there is lots of grass for throwing a Frisbee, flying a kite or playing football or cricket.

And there is fish and chip shop just around the corner if you feel hungry after your run.
