By mid 2012, I'll be finishing my economics and international relations degree. I love writing, art, music, hanging out with my friends & being a productive night owl. You can find me on twitter @Meowsha. PS Cats are the best! :)
If you're after a quick and tasty meal in the city, you can't go past
Tonia's Kitchen. Located sneakily at the Myer food court, this isn't your ordinary pasta place. In addition to a variety of your favourite pasta dishes, there are meat dishes and antipasti, which you can purchase for very reasonable prices. More like an indoor cafe, there are actually comfortable soft booths as well as the usual wooden chairs and tables. Perfect for a meeting with a friend or even if you are on the run, this establishment is well-balanced in terms of price and quality.
3 antipasti, mixed pasta and gnocchi
You can order pasta and antipasti for under $11. You can also order any three pastas for the same price. You receive a large helping which will undoubtedly satiate your hunger. The pasta and antipasti deal does not restrict you to just one type of pasta.
The 3 antipasti are tomato with bocconcini and what appeared to be rocket, eggplant parmigiana and juicy mushrooms
If the antipasti don't tickle your fancy, perhaps you'd be more inclined to try any combination of three of the many available pastas. Tender and saucy, they certainly are appetizing.
Penne boscaiola, spaghetti bolognese, gnocchi
The above are the only 2 dishes I have managed to document so far, however I couldn't be greedy and have everyone miss out. Watch out for future food articles from Tonia's Kitchen. This pasta place is definitely on my list of places to return to. If you're in the city, I highly recommend that you try it if you've never been before.
