Tomodachi is a great Japanese restaurant within the Broadway Shopping Centre complex, and provides for a healthy, quick and satisfying lunch experience. It is great to be given more of a choice between either sitting at the sushi bar, or actually sitting down at a table and enjoying the dishes at hand.
Many sushi trains have barely (if any) opportunities to sit down at a normal table, so this is where this establishment is refreshing. Expect polite and efficient staff with great service that satisfies in tandem with the quality food.
The sashimi as part of the bento boxes is so fresh and soft, and the chicken pieces are quite filling; although at times they could be a little bit juicier. These are only minor things, yet when you try their miso soup, oh my goodness the flavour just hits you at times without that artificial aftertaste, which means that an authentic miso soup was enjoyed.
Love it here, and if you are a lover of Japanese food you should make it a priority to have lunch here whenever you are in the Glebe area.
