Tigers AFL Club Poker Tournament

Today Team All-In headed down to the Tigers AFL Club to play their first midday poker tournament. Australian Pro Poker run this tournament here every Wednesday. The club also has an evening tournament on the same day. Twenty players sit down including myself to play, and within 15 minutes casualties began to appear.

This event has chip ups, to receive these you must purchase drinks and/or a meal to fill a card that is given to you at the start. Meals are great value, I had bangers and mash which cost me $7.50. Where can you get a meal for that now? The final table was decided around 1:30pm, which also included myself.

Players begin to fall with some great plays and some very unusual plays, but hey it's poker. All the players are gone except for two, Ruth and myself. Heads up begins with Ruth playing a very different game to when she first sat down. It took about 20 minutes for Ruth to take me out giving her the tournament win and $20cash and a $50 voucher to spend at the club. Congratulations Ruth, well played.
