Three One Six Oh! Film Festival is the annual outdoor cinema festival showcasing an array of local short films and videos from around Victoria.
This one-day festival will also host an eclectic mix of music acts prior to the screenings. This year's line-up will include Triple Js Unearthed Elk and Whale, Great Earthquake, and the heady indie rock sounds of Siblings.
The festival is hosted by the outdoor Cameo Cinemas, situated in the high hills of the Dandenong Ranges, and is currently in its seventh year running. The festival has been known by many names, such as the Hillside festival, but this year the festival has been renamed (can you guess after what?).
While deck seats are provided for the screening of the short films, people are encouraged to bring their picnic sets along during the day to enjoy the music.
But reserve some space for the popcorn as the best part will be choosing what popcorn flavour to have: cinnamon sugar or cardamom and pistachio sugar for the sweet lovers, or tandoori, BBQ spice or roast chicken for the savoury fans.
Of if you are like me and can't decide, you just might end up with more than one box of popcorn.
This is a BYO event.
