this is NOT a film festival is a celebration of short films which unites filmmakers and film-lovers and unlike traditional film festivals, there is absolutely no competition, just the opportunity to sit back, relax and embrace new talent.

With the advent of technology – almost anyone can make their own short film masterpiece – whether it is a hard-hitting documentary, a tender comedy or perhaps an action-thriller - and this is NOT a film festival is unique as it also gives the opportunity to budding filmmakers to screen their short works in-front of an eager audience.

So if you have already made a short film with family or friends or at School/University, don't be shy - screen it in-front of an audience, what's a film without an audience! - or if you want to participate in the event in the near future - start scripting your masterpiece right now now, and then submit your short film to the monthly event at the official website of this is NOT a film festival. Alongside the usual submission criteria - there is only a $5 submission fee!

The short films are screened at the 1000 £ Bend located at 361 Little Lonsdale Street in Melbourne's CBD. The event begins at 8:30 PM and finishes approximately at 11:00 PM – the short film screenings begin at 9pm.

This is a ticketed event and is at the discounted fee of $10 when tickets are pre-booked via email and picked up at the venue on the day of the event at 8:00 PM.

Tickets at the door are priced at $15 Adult and $12 Concession.

Please note this is a 18 and over event.

Looks like a fantastic festival, that isnt a festival. Thanks. I might subscribe to that. Did you know you can subscribe to the AFI and can even get tickets to go to the AFI awards, plus discounts for cinemas too?
