Here at Weekend Notes we love the challenge of finding top events and activities for you to enjoy with family/friends so you can make the most of your time off. Here I have a list of some great events happening during the month of August.

Geelong Book Fair will have you stocked with reading material to see out the rest of winter and beyond. Thousands of books will be for sale by the Rotary club of Geelong West and all are priced at $1 for soft covers or $2 for hard covers. The fair will be held from Friday 15th - Sunday 17th Aug 2014 at Geelong West Town Hall. Another great run off bitumen is the Devilbend classic on the 17th with a 5km, 10km and half marathon to choose from. Or the Salomon trail running series event in Olinda on the 17th with the options of 3 event lengths.
